Appointments

All GP practices in Dunbar Medical Centre offer a range of appointments with different members of the practice team, including GPs, practice nurses and healthcare assistants.

Our reception teams are available from 8am to 6pm on Monday to Friday to help you access the most appropriate care.  During the coronavirus restrictions, all appointments require to be telephone-triaged by a GP in advance, unless there is already an existing plan for your care in place.

Video Consultations

Your practice may be able to offer you a video consultation.  This is made possible through the ‘NHS NearMe’ system, which you can probably use if you have a phone, tablet or laptop with a camera and internet connection.  In some circumstances, we can use a video consultation to avoid the need for you to attend the practice, which you may find more convenient, and which allows us to maintain high safety standards during the coronavirus outbreak.

  • You can find out more information here, where you can also test your equipment to see if it is compatible.
  • If you want to know more about this, ask your practice team or GP about whether this can be made available to you.

Online Appointment Booking

Due to the coronavirus outbreak, some online services have been altered to ensure the safety of our patients and staff.

Online appointment booking are available to patients at Lauderdale practice.  To register, contact your reception team – you will be asked to complete a form and attend with photographic identification.
